Statement from Next100 on the Biden-Harris Victory
Next100 joins many others in congratulating President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris on a hard-fought victory.
Following an election cycle that began with the most diverse set of candidates in our country’s history and culminated in a record number of voters nationwide, Next100 joins many others in congratulating President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris on a hard-fought victory. Their campaign broke barriers, as Vice President-elect Harris will become the first female, the first Black American, and the first Asian American to ascend to the role of Vice President. What’s more, the electorate itself was the largest and most diverse that we’ve ever witnessed in this country.
The years ahead will not be easy. As we cope with a global pandemic and engage in a long overdue reckoning around racial justice, the Biden-Harris administration must work to address these crises.
As a progressive policy think tank created by and for the next generation, Next100 remains dedicated to uplifting the perspectives of those most impacted by public policy to develop and drive policy change. We look forward to working with the incoming Biden-Harris administration to engage impacted individuals and make sure that frontline communities are part of policy development and implementation.
