Economic OpportunityCaroline Hoover (she/her/hers) is a rising senior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she is a Will Froelich Fellow and a Jack Kent Cooke Scholar. A lifetime resident of Appalachia, Caroline is passionate about utilizing the intersection of law and policy to create positive impacts in rural health care equity. Towards this goal, she leads a research team for the National Patient Advocacy Foundation and also conducts research for the North Carolina Office of Rural Health. On campus, Caroline has been presiding justice of the UNC Student Supreme Court, secretary-general of the largest Model UN conference in the southeastern United States, and a Carolina Mock Trial Team Captain. In her free time, she enjoys hiking the Appalachian trail, baking, and surfing.
