NY1 previewed the Youth in Focus Mayoral Forum, a youth-led event in which young people questioned candidates on the issues that matter most to them—like housing, education, and safety.

NY1 previewed previewed the Youth in Focus Mayoral Forum, a youth-led event in which young people questioned candidates on the issues that matter most to them—like housing, education, and safety. Organized by a coalition of youth advocates and organizations, the event aimed to inform and engage young voters ahead of the 2025 Democratic primary, while holding candidates accountable to their promises.

“So many are disconnected or uninformed about what’s happening in this election,” said one of the lead organizers. “This was our opportunity to change that.” Hundreds of New Yorkers RSVP’d to attend, and several candidates joined.
