Alejandra Vázquez Baur Selected for Inaugural Obama Foundation Leaders USA Program

Alejandra Vázquez Baur was selected to the Obama Foundation Leaders USA program, an initiative that builds upon the Obama Foundation's previous work to support emerging leaders in the United States.

On Tuesday, August 1st, 2023, the Obama Foundation announced its inaugural Leaders USA 2023 cohort, including Next100’s own Policy Entrepreneur Alejandra Vázquez Baur. The program will bring together 100 young leaders from diverse backgrounds across the country to engage in a values-driven leadership curriculum that provides interactive learning experience and individualized leadership coaching with Obama Foundation leadership and experts across various sectors.

Through the Obama Leaders USA program, Alejandra will have the opportunity to scale and sustain the impact of her work at Next100, and beyond, alongside like-minded emerging leaders.

Alejandra Vázquez Baur Education + Early Years

Alejandra is an educational equity and immigration justice advocate. At Next100, Alejandra’s work focuses on expanding systemic academic, social, and emotional supports for K–12 immigrant students and multilingual learners, drawing on her teaching experience in Miami–Dade County Public Schools. Alejandra is a proud product of Mexican immigrants, and previously worked at various education and immigration non-profit organizations in New York City.
