kier blake recognized as North American Association for Environmental Educators 30 Under 30 Leader
NAAEE’s 30 Under 30 program selected Next100’s kier blake as an inspiring young environmental educator shaping tomorrow.
Almost five years ago, kier blake started their journey in environmental education in earnest after working as a student policy researcher and advocate throughout high school and college.
Now, in honor of their portfolio of work at Start:Empowerment (the environmental education nonprofit they co-founded back in 2019), personal work with grassroots collectives bringing community-driven popular and political education to the masses, and leadership in policy advocacy groups like CRETF, kier has been awarded with this distinction.
kier joins an inclusive network of 271 individuals from fifty-three countries who are making a difference through environmental education.
Executive Director of NAAEE Judy Braus says, “We are honored to recognize and celebrate young people working at the forefront of environmental and social change. These 30 innovators and influencers are using environmental education and their ingenuity to build healthier and more just communities around the world. Join us in congratulating NAAEE’s EE 30 Under 30 Class of 2024!”
